Branson trip

We are back from our trip to Branson. It was an absolutely wonderful weekend. It was the best time I have ever had with my hubby, we had an awesome cabin, we had great food, we had great weather; it was just wonderful.

Last week I felt like I had reached the end of my rope. In fact, this is an email I wrote:
I am experiencing SEVERE homeschool burnout. I have never quite felt like
this. On top of it, I am so behind, I don’t feel like I can take a
breather. Actually, I need to clarify. I am not the only one burnt out and
it isn’t just school. Michael, Brittany and I are just completely
overwhelmed by life in general lately. I thought I would cut down on extras
and then I looked and there aren’t any extras. This is just our life. Bare
bones. We have school and church. That’s it. And now, on top of everything
else, we no longer have one of our nurses so we now only have nursing 3
nights a week which puts a huge strain on us all. I feel completely buried.
Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas or words of wisdom? I will also take
prayers. ;-)

Ps. Anyone want to be my personal coach? I need someone to guide me through
my life. LOL.

After our vacation, I feel like I took 3 years off of my life. I feel lighter, more joyous, I am clear minded, I have patience again, I feel great. I highly recommend a weekend away with the hubby, if you are needing some refreshing. :-)

Here are our pics:

We stayed in a place called Thousand Hills. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a romantic getaway in Branson. It would also be perfect for honeymoons. The cabins are all each privately owned. Ours happened to be owned by some people from New Mexico, which was ironic. It was decorated so cutely and it had everything you could think of. The fireplace was awesome. :-) The one bedroom is all one room (besides the bathroom) but is decorated to make it into 4 distinct areas. It is actual log construction and it is truly a work of art. It has a balcony off the back which overlooks a little stream. We want to make it a yearly trip. And we have made it our mission to make sure our children and our neice also take a yearly trip with their spouses, when that time comes. We will do whatever it takes to help them. I hope every one of you has an opportunity to spend some quiet time with your significant other, too. It made a world of difference in our lives. :-)
